I didn’t really get photos of any damage in Manhattan (there really wasn’t any), but I thought it was amazing to see how peaceful (no tourists!) it was the morning after while the eye was still very close to NYC.  These photos were taken at roughly 11am, Sunday, 8/28/11 during a joy walk up towards Times Square from where I live.  The last one is an excellent shot, although a bit blurry, of the Empire State Building I believe.  I also had my first experience riding (or risking my life if you wish to put it that way) in a taxi today and I have to admit, they may appear to drive nuts, but they’re very precise and fast .
